2026 Great American Family Christmas Movies: Schedule and Cast
Great American Family is getting an early start on Christmas in 2026, with 18 new holiday movies premiering between October 10 and December 19. Familiar faces are back, including Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Cameron Mathison and Ryan Paevey, each appearing in two originals. Expect second chances, family traditions, small-town homecomings and a few holiday adventures that venture beyond the usual snowy main street. Here’s the full premiere lineup, in order, with every movie scheduled for 8 p.m.
October: An ice storm, a Christmas shop and an Arctic detour
Great American Christmas begins Saturday, October 10, with a reunion that may not go according to plan. The opening month also takes viewers from a cherished family business to a stranded cruise, with a story about faith and neighborly kindness along the way.
October 10: A Second Chance Christmas
Candace Cameron Bure and Jonathan Scarfe star as Anna and James, divorced parents reuniting with their adult children for Christmas after five years. An unexpected ice storm could give their love story another chance. The movie premieres Saturday, October 10.
October 17: Silver Bells at Christmas
Ginny wants to save her late mother’s Christmas shop, but a determined buyer and the return of her first love complicate things. Laura Osnes, Ryan McPartlin, Chuck Wicks and Taylor Kalupa star in the Saturday, October 17 premiere.
October 24: A Christmas Prayer Tradition
As Natalie prepares to release a new children’s book, a family quietly sets out to answer their neighbors’ prayers. Their small acts of faith and kindness ripple through Bellford Falls. Shae Robins and Christopher Russell star; the movie premieres Saturday, October 24.
October 31: A Very Arctic Christmas
A father-daughter Christmas cruise takes a startling turn when the pair become stranded in the Arctic. A wildlife conservationist helps guide them home, and along the way, wonder and unexpected romance enter the picture. Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison star in the Halloween-night premiere.
November: Homecomings, heirlooms and a packed Thanksgiving weekend
Nine movies arrive in November, making it the busiest stretch of the schedule. The stories range from a treasured ring and an Ozark homecoming to a royal mystery. Three premieres are also lined up from Friday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
November 7: Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring
A military widow’s search for her family’s Christmas ring leads her to a widowed antiques dealer. The heirloom may reconnect them with the past and give both a chance at love. Jana Kramer, Benjamin Hollingsworth and Kelsey Grammer star in the Saturday premiere.
November 8: An Ozark Mountain Christmas
A young designer reluctantly returns to the Ozarks for the holiday. Her family’s legacy and a caring local man help her reconsider what she left behind. Brianna Cohen and Jonathan Stoddard star. The movie premieres Sunday, November 8.
November 14: The Christmas Yes List
A chronic people-pleaser heads home determined to start saying yes to herself. Then an unexpected romance gives her another reason to rethink her old habits. Danica McKellar and Sam Page star in the Saturday, November 14 movie.
November 15: Christmas at Moose Lake
After a breakup, Alyssa returns home to Moose Lake. A misplaced engagement ring and a new connection with Sean help her find the courage to begin again. The Sunday premiere stars Britt Robertson, Ryan Paevey, Natasha Henstridge and Kevin Dillon.
November 21: Three Generations, One Christmas
A family’s beloved supper club faces an uncertain future, bringing three generations together to decide which traditions and memories they want to preserve. Mario Lopez, Tony Danza, Taylor Kalupa, Dominic Lopez and Courtney Lopez star in the Saturday premiere.
November 22: Letters This Christmas
A Christmas novelist struggling for inspiration returns home and reconnects with family, familiar traditions and her first love. Maybe those reunions are the story she needed all along. Ashley Newbrough and Jesse Hutch star in the Sunday, November 22 premiere.
November 27: A Sweet Christmas Anniversary
Sophie and Sam celebrate their first anniversary in a storybook Christmas town, but they’re soon drawn into a royal mystery that tests their relationship. Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison star in this Friday premiere, their second movies on the 2026 lineup.
November 28: A Christmas Rescue
A doctor and a visiting veterinarian team up for a Christmas pet adoption event. As they find homes for rescue animals, they may discover a connection of their own. Trevor Donovan and Stephanie Bennett star; the movie premieres Saturday, November 28.
November 29: The Greatest Christmas Gift
An unexpected setback threatens Emma and Caleb’s Christmas wedding. Faith, selfless love and their community help them keep believing. Danica McKellar and Matthew Marsden star in the Sunday premiere, which closes out November’s slate.
Five premieres carry the schedule into December. There’s a mystery tucked inside a library, a difficult first Christmas dinner and a tree farm homecoming, before the final movie arrives on December 19.
December 5: The Christmas Ornament Library
A librarian and a newspaper reporter discover a hidden room filled with generations of Christmas ornaments. Their effort to return the keepsakes to their families brings a community tradition back to life. Merritt Patterson and Ryan Paevey star in the Saturday premiere.
December 6: Christmas by the Spoonful
A food critic who can’t cook must prepare her family’s first Christmas dinner after her mother’s death. She turns to a chef whose business she once nearly ruined, finding forgiveness and an unexpected connection. Laura Vandervoort and Olivier Renaud star.
December 12: Making Christmas Bright
A teacher preparing to leave her small town volunteers for her church’s Christmas Angel Tree. Paired with a newcomer looking for a fresh start, she begins to reconsider what comes next. Jillian Murray and Liam McIntyre star in the Saturday premiere.
December 13: A Very Evergreen Christmas
Abby inherits her aunt’s Christmas tree farm and must spend two weeks working alongside her childhood best friend. Their reunion brings old promises and family traditions back into focus. Katie Leclerc and Jeremy Guilbaut star; the movie premieres Sunday, December 13.
December 19: Christmas Wrapped in Love
The final premiere pairs a professional gift finder with an overworked surgeon who needs help shopping for his family. She agrees to pose as his girlfriend, but things soon get more complicated. Cindy Busby and Marcus Rosner star in the Saturday, December 19 movie.
