A Grand Ole Opry Christmas: A Time-Traveling Tale

The story follows Gentry Woods, played by Nikki DeLoach. She’s the daughter of late country star Jett Woods, but she walked away from songwriting and her dad’s legacy after he died in a car accident thirty years ago.

When the Grand Ole Opry asks her to represent Jett at their centennial Christmas bash, Gentry isn’t exactly thrilled. The Opry brings back tough memories, but with a little nudge from her friends, she decides to go.

Magical Journey to 1995

While sitting in one of the Opry’s famous oak pews, Gentry suddenly finds herself whisked back to 1995. She’s not alone—her lifelong friend Mac, played by Kristoffer Polaha, is there too. Mac’s a country music talent manager, and together they dive into a time that’s equal parts magical and bittersweet.

This trip back lets Gentry reconnect with her dad and rediscover her creative spark. She finally gets a chance to finish a song she started as a teen, and she starts to unravel some old mysteries about her father’s life.

Shooting kicks off later this month at some truly iconic spots, including the Grand Ole Opry House itself. That’s a backdrop that’s hard to beat.

Brad Paisley’s Musical Magic

Brad Paisley is writing and performing original music just for this movie. He’s not just a Grammy-winning superstar—he’s also an Opry member, so this project is right in his wheelhouse.

A Perfect Partnership

The Hallmark Channel and the Grand Ole Opry teaming up just feels right, doesn’t it? Darren Abbott, Hallmark’s Chief Brand Officer, said the Opry’s 100th birthday is the perfect moment for a little Christmas magic.

Colin Reed, Executive Chairman at Ryman Hospitality Properties, is just as excited. He wants to show off the Opry, its artists, and the country music songwriting tradition to a wider crowd.

Exclusive Co-Branded Products

There’s more than just the movie—Hallmark’s rolling out a line of co-branded goodies with the Opry. We’re talking greeting cards, holiday shirts, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts.

Fans can grab these later this year at Hallmark.com, Shop.Opry.com, The Opry Shops, and the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City. Might be a good time to start your wish list.
