Netflix Adds Nearly 30 Christmas Titles in November 2026

Netflix is gearing up to turn November 2026 into a full-blown Christmas movie marathon, with some of its biggest surprises coming from outside its own studio. More than two dozen licensed holiday movies and series are headed to the US lineup, mixing Hallmark mysteries, Lifetime romances, Disney favorites and a theatrical hit that could steal the season. There’s even a Danny DeVito double feature in the mix. Before you start searching for Elf, though, there’s one important catch: this festive haul favors unexpected discoveries over the usual blockbuster Christmas staples.

Netflix Has a Bigger Christmas Delivery This Year

The November selection tops the licensed holiday lineups tracked over the previous two years, with roughly half arriving during the first week. Seven seasonal titles are scheduled for November 1 alone.

These are licensed additions, not Netflix Originals. They’ll sit alongside an original slate that includes A Dog’s Perfect Christmas, Tyler Perry’s The Gospel of Christmas, The Christmas Switch and Guarding Stars. Availability applies to the United States, and dates can still change.

The Big Christmas Classics Are Still Missing

There are currently no announced November licenses for Home Alone, The Grinch, The Polar Express or Elf. Those coveted holiday rights are especially valuable during Christmas season, so Netflix is leaning on recent romances, independent productions and returning favorites instead.

Still, the lineup has plenty of recognizable names. Hallmark, Lionsgate, Lifetime, Disney and Great American Family all contribute, while Nicely Entertainment supplies one of the largest groups of titles.

The Two Arrivals That Deserve Your Attention First

Holiday romances may dominate the list, but the most intriguing picks offer something different. One brings a wildly unruly family to the Christmas stage; the other adds murder investigations to the mistletoe.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Gets Its Netflix Debut

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever arrives with more momentum than the average seasonal discovery. Directed by The Chosen creator Dallas Jenkins, the 2024 adaptation of Barbara Robinson’s novel follows the fearsome Herdman children as they take over a small-town Christmas pageant.

Judy Greer, Pete Holmes and Lauren Graham lead the cast. With more than $40 million at the box office and a reported 92% Rotten Tomatoes score, this Lionsgate release looks like a strong pick for family movie night.

Mistletoe Murders Brings Hallmark Mystery to Netflix

The first two seasons of Mistletoe Murders arrive November 1, just four days before Season 3 premieres on Hallmark Channel. Sarah Drew plays Emily Lane, a Christmas shop owner whose secret crime-solving activities catch the attention of detective Sam Wilner, played by Peter Mooney.

It’s a welcome change of pace if you like suspicious behavior alongside your seasonal decorations. Just remember: the Netflix arrival covers Seasons 1 and 2, not the upcoming third season.

Familiar Faces, Returning Favorites and One Very Different Barbie

Several additions feature recognizable stars or familiar titles. Look closely, though, because a few sound-alike names could easily send your watchlist in the wrong direction.

Danny DeVito Gets Two Chances to Disrupt Christmas

In A Sudden Case of Christmas, DeVito and Andie MacDowell star in a comedy about a girl who demands one final family Christmas before her parents separate. The catch? Everyone’s at her grandfather’s Italian hotel in August.

DeVito also appears opposite Matthew Broderick in Deck the Halls, the 2006 neighborhood rivalry comedy built around an outrageously bright Christmas display. Its reported 6% Rotten Tomatoes score makes it the opposite of a critical darling, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a festive rewatch.

Disney Romances Return, While Barbie Gets a New Production

Three Disney-owned holiday films return: Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas, featuring Aisha Dee as a ghost with unfinished business; No Sleep ’Til Christmas, starring Odette and Dave Annable as insomniacs who sleep better together; and Same Time, Next Christmas, which pairs Lea Michele and Charles Michael Davis at a Hawaiian resort.

Meanwhile, Barbie in the Nutcracker is the new 2026 CGI reimagining, not the 2001 film that returned in September. Debbie Allen choreographs and executive produces the anniversary production.

The Romance Marathon Has Plenty of Fresh Complications

If your Christmas checklist calls for royalty, hometown reunions and questionable career decisions, Netflix has you covered. The incoming romances span castles, bakeries and ranches, plus at least one abandoned wedding.

Lifetime and Great American Family Supply the Drama

  • A Runaway Bride for Christmas: Nischelle Turner plays a bride who reconnects with her high-school crush after fleeing the altar.
  • Deck the Hallways: Loretta Devine stars as a grandmother whose granddaughter helps revive a neglected holiday tradition.
  • How to Fall In Love By Christmas: Teri Hatcher plays a CEO whose writing assignment leads to fake dating.
  • Rodeo Christmas Romance: Rebecca Dalton and Corey Sevier bring an injured horse and a brooding veteran into the seasonal equation.
  • A Cinderella Christmas Ball: Danica McKellar plays a dance instructor searching for her birth mother in a royal kingdom.
  • Christmas Time Is Here: A realtor’s attempt to sell her father’s resort turns into a romantic complication.
  • A Christmas Castle Proposal: A Royal in Paradise 2: Olivia and Prince Alexander reunite for a royal family Christmas.
  • A Merry Christmas Wish: Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison mix a family-farm sale with a Winter Wonderland celebration.

Small-Town Escapes Keep Coming

Nicely Entertainment adds Christmas On The Ranch, about a stranded radio relationship expert, and Reporting for Christmas, which follows a producer assigned to cover a family toy company. A Cherry Pie Christmas sends Katie Leclerc to a Wisconsin orchard, while Christmas at Fields Ranch gives Anna Marie Dobbins an inheritance and a romantic dilemma.

Elsewhere, Menorah in the Middle brings a Hanukkah story to the slate, with Lucy DeVito facing family bakery troubles. Newcomer All for Christmas stars Whitney Leavitt and Jesse Kove in a podcaster’s online-dating adventure, while The Trouble With Mistletoe brings an old high-school disappointment into a pet-shop owner’s life.

A Few More Returns Complete the Holiday Watchlist

The returning titles bring more family schemes and romantic confusion. They also give Lawrence brothers fans a ready-made double bill.

The Family Holiday stars Dave Coulier as a con man who assembles a pretend family to secure an inheritance. Marry Christmas pits engaged brothers against a Christmas Day venue mix-up, while Mistletoe Mixup follows a woman who unknowingly lands in a romantic triangle involving brothers.

For younger viewers, the limited-time Holiday Magic Playlist launches November 2 with festive episodes from shows including My Little Pony, Hilda, Johnny Test and The Smurfs. No licensed December holiday additions have been announced yet, so November is the month to build that seasonal watchlist.
