It’s got laughter, love, and a serious dose of nostalgia. The cast is stacked, and the story sounds like classic Hallmark comfort food.

Meet the Cast of “Double Scoop”

Taylor Cole plays Nora, an ad executive who discovers the best ice cream she’s ever tasted. She’s determined to land the brand as a client.

Cole brings her usual charm and wit, and honestly, she’s great at this kind of role. You might remember her from the “Ruby Herring Mysteries” or a bunch of other Hallmark favorites.

Then there’s Ryan McPartlin as James, Nora’s former colleague and now her rival in this ice cream chase. Sparks fly, old feelings bubble up, and the two go head-to-head for the account.

It’s been a while since McPartlin and Cole shared the screen—back in 2012 on “CSI: Miami.” He brings a good mix of humor and romance here.

Reunions and New Faces

“Double Scoop” also reunites Cole with director Peter Sullivan and Hybrid, his production company. They last worked together on the 2016 Hallmark movie “My Summer Prince.”

Cole mentioned how much fun it was to be back with Sullivan and the crew. That sense of familiarity made filming a blast.

There are some fresh faces, too. Patrick Muldoon (yep, the 90s heartthrob), Chonda Pierce (comedian), and Elisa Donovan (from “Clueless”) round out the cast.

Cole called Donovan an “iconic rock star” and even hinted she’d love to do a spin-off with her. That could be interesting.

A Farm-Fresh Setting

One thing that sets “Double Scoop” apart is its setting. Filming took place in Birmingham, Alabama, with animals from Fortner Farm.

Cole was pretty thrilled about working with all the farm animals. She got to bottle-feed a calf, milk a cow, and cuddle a baby goat. Sounds both adorable and a little chaotic.

Animal Antics and Allergies

Cole was right at home with the animals, but McPartlin wasn’t so lucky—he’s got allergies. Still, the cast seemed to have a good time behind the scenes.

Cole and McPartlin pulled pranks and kept things light on set. You can tell there was a lot of laughter off camera.

The Heart of the Story

At the center, “Double Scoop” is your classic rom-com with a twist. Nora’s quest to land the ice cream brand comes with plenty of comic moments and heartfelt scenes.

The film’s logline hints that Nora’s “sweet dreams hit a snag” when James shows up. Expect a mix of frosty tension and a few old sparks.

Comedy and Connection

Cole said she loves making people laugh and giving them a break from daily stress. The whole cast really leans into the humor, making this one feel extra fun.

Behind the Scenes

Shooting “Double Scoop” brought some memorable moments. Cole’s time with the animals—even a flea-infested baby goat—made things extra authentic.

She’s clearly got a soft spot for animals and didn’t mind getting her hands dirty. It’s those little things that give the film its charm.

Director’s Vision

Director Peter Sullivan wanted “Double Scoop” to be as visually lovely as it is entertaining. The Alabama farm setting, the cast, and the whole vibe really bring that vision to life.

Sullivan’s team and Cole worked closely to keep the film’s tone just right—funny, romantic, and warm.

Why You Should Watch “Double Scoop”

If you’re into rom-coms, cute animals, and stories that just make you feel good, “Double Scoop” is worth your time. It’s got sweet treats, farm shenanigans, and a rekindled romance.

With a standout cast, great setting, and just the right balance of humor and heart, I’d bet “Double Scoop” will become a Hallmark favorite.
