11) Lights at Harding-Searcy
When I wandered onto Harding University’s campus during Christmas, I saw thousands of lights everywhere. Trees, walkways, and buildings all glowed in white and color.
The whole place felt peaceful. Families strolled by, and students chatted quietly under the lit branches.
The light display covers a good chunk of the main campus, so you can just wander around on foot. Most people seemed to slow down, snapping photos and soaking in simple nativity scenes and Christmas decorations.
I found benches and little spots to sit, which made it all feel pretty comfortable. The event usually runs from late November through December, kicking off just after Thanksgiving.
You don’t have to pay anything to walk through and see the lights. Free parking sits in the university lots right by the displays.
I saw information signs set up at the main entrances. Some friendly volunteers stood nearby, ready to help guests find their way.
Hotels aren’t far if you need a place to stay. I picked one about five minutes away by car.
The campus is easy to spot since it’s close to main roads. Just follow the signs or punch it into your GPS, and you’ll get there without much fuss.
