Set in the iconic Grand Ole Opry House, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas centers around Gentry Woods, played by Nikki DeLoach. Gentry is the daughter of the late country music icon Jett Woods, who was half of the famed duo Winter and Woods.
After her father’s tragic car accident 30 years ago, Gentry left behind her songwriting dreams and distanced herself from her father’s legacy. But when the Grand Ole Opry invites her to represent Jett at their centennial Christmas celebration, Gentry finds herself on an unexpected journey back in time.
Encouraged by her friends, Gentry decides to visit the Opry, even though she’s hesitant. While sitting in one of the venue’s historic oak church pews, she’s suddenly transported back to 1995.
There, she meets her lifelong friend Mac, a country music talent manager played by Kristoffer Polaha, who’s also found himself in the past. This bit of Christmas magic lets Gentry spend precious time with her father, find creative inspiration to finish a song she started years ago, and uncover surprising answers to old questions about her dad.
One of the most exciting parts of A Grand Ole Opry Christmas is the original music by Brad Paisley. Paisley will write and perform songs for the movie, and he’s also creating the official anthem for Hallmark Channel’s 2025 Countdown to Christmas campaign.
Paisley mentioned that Hallmark Channel is a big part of his family’s holiday traditions. He wants his music for the film to capture the same magic and joy that Hallmark movies bring to viewers—no pressure, right?
To celebrate this collaboration, Hallmark is launching an exclusive line of co-branded products with the Grand Ole Opry. Fans can look forward to a variety of items, including:
- Greeting cards
- Apparel
- Accessories
- Jewelry
- Gifts
These products are set to drop later this year on Hallmark.com, Shop.Opry.com, The Opry Shops, and at the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City. It’s a fun way for fans to celebrate Christmas in true country style.
Alongside Nikki DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas will feature familiar faces from the Opry’s star-studded cast. The full list of artists hasn’t been announced yet, but expect appearances from some of country music’s most beloved performers.
The movie will start production later this month and will be filmed at several iconic locations, including the Grand Ole Opry House. That’s bound to add some authentic flair.
So, why should you watch? This film weaves together the magic of Christmas with the rich history of the Grand Ole Opry. Here are a few reasons it’s worth tuning in:
- Timeless Storyline: The plot blends nostalgia, family legacy, and the wonder of Christmas.
- Star-Studded Cast: Nikki DeLoach, Kristoffer Polaha, and Brad Paisley bring serious talent.
- Original Music: Paisley’s new songs add something special to the movie.
