Every year, Herndon recreates those Old World traditions right outside Washington, D.C. Vendors line the streets with handcrafted gifts, German goods, ornaments, and festive food.

3) DowntownDC Holiday Market

The DowntownDC Holiday Market sits right in Washington, DC, just a quick drive or Metro ride from northern Virginia. You’ll find it in the Penn Quarter-Chinatown neighborhood.

The Virginia Beach Christmas Market runs from November 28 to November 30, 2025, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This one usually pops up over Thanksgiving weekend.

8) Fairfax County Holiday Markets
