Most-Watched Hallmark Movies of 2026: All 37 Ranked

Hallmark fans may have their favorites, but the 2026 premiere ratings tell a story few would have predicted. As of October 8, Romance at Hope Ranch leads the year with 1.64 million viewers for its first airing, while several high-profile mysteries sit near the bottom of the list. A chart circulating among fans got most of the numbers right, but it missed two movies with published ratings and left three others without figures. Here’s what the fuller ranking reveals before Countdown to Christmas changes the picture.

The Hallmark Movie Leading 2026 Is Not a Christmas Romance

Romance at Hope Ranch premiered February 28 and drew 1.64 million viewers, making it the most-watched new Hallmark Channel movie of 2026 so far. Alison Sweeney stars in the film, putting her at the top of a crowded year. No other premiere on the published list has reached 1.6 million.

The closest contenders arrived even earlier. Lost in Paradise and Caught by Love are tied for second at a reported 1.53 million viewers apiece, followed by The Way to You at 1.50 million and Missing the Boat at a reported 1.49 million. Kentucky Roses, which premiered in May, is the first movie from outside January or February to reach the upper ranks, taking sixth place with 1.46 million.

The Top Ten Has a Summer Surprise

Winter dominates the upper end of the ranking, but summer made its mark, too. June premiere The Greek Aisle and July premiere Snowbound for the Holidays each round to 1.42 million viewers, tying for seventh in the updated list. The circulating chart placed Snowbound eighth using a more precise figure of 1.415 million.

Sweeney appears again at number nine with Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, which drew 1.38 million. Aussie at Heart completes the top ten at 1.34 million. The ranking includes romance, holiday programming and one especially successful mystery, rather than a clean sweep for any one Hallmark formula.

The Viral Ratings Chart Was Mostly Right, but It Was Not Complete

The chart making the rounds among Hallmark fans and filmmakers ranked 35 movies. Fantasy Land News compared its figures with weekly premiere-night reports from The TV Ratings Guide and found that 31 of those 35 matched when rounded to two decimal places. That’s a strong showing, though it’s not quite the full-year-to-date ranking some viewers might assume.

Four chart figures could not be checked against a published viewer total in those reports: Lost in Paradise, Caught by Love, Missing the Boat and Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder. They remain in the updated ranking at the chart’s figures, with that qualification attached. Reports did place Caught by Love first among cable programs in total viewers on its premiere night and Missing the Boat third on its night, but those placements don’t verify an exact audience size.

Two Overlooked Movies Belong in the Ranking

The clearest omission was Love Under the Mistletoe. Its July 25 premiere drew 1.21 million viewers, enough for 23rd place in the updated list. A Knight to Remember was also missing from the circulating chart. It premiered October 3 and drew 1.29 million, tying for 13th; because that number was published October 7, the chart may have been prepared before it was available.

Adding those two movies brings the updated ranking to 37 premieres. Three more titles still lack publicly available viewer figures: A Melbourne Match, Love on the Amazon and Christmas Under Construction. There’s also a small title correction for detail-minded fans: the first Haunted Harmony movie is Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Key to the Castle, not Key to a Castle.

Christmas in July Had a Clear Winner

Hallmark’s midyear holiday lineup produced one standout premiere. Snowbound for the Holidays brought in 1.42 million viewers on July 18, comfortably ahead of Love Under the Mistletoe at 1.21 million and O Little Christmas Market at 0.98 million. The movie was celebrated as eighth on the original chart, but looks even better when the figures are rounded into a tie for seventh.

Christmas movies are often associated with Hallmark’s biggest audiences, yet a February romance still holds a sizable lead. Hallmark’s July holiday programming can compete with premieres from the busier early-year stretch, though not every festive title draws the same crowd.

September Was a Much Tougher Month

September delivered the softest run in this ranking. Three of its four premieres finished below one million viewers: Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding at 0.92 million, Falling Into Place at 0.88 million and Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage at 0.90 million. Pumpkin Regatta Romance broke the pattern with 1.11 million.

College football had returned to Saturday nights, adding competition for viewers. The timing offers context, but the numbers alone can’t establish why someone chose one program over another. Across the 33 premieres with confirmed totals, the average was about 1.22 million viewers.

The Mystery Results May Be the Biggest Shock

Sugar & Vice shows that Hallmark mysteries can still pull a large premiere audience. Elsewhere on the list, though, the genre struggled. Four of the six movies that drew fewer than one million viewers were mysteries: both Haunted Harmony installments, Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage and True Justice: An Eye for an Eye. The last of those sits at the bottom of the ranking with 0.84 million.

Star power didn’t always produce a top-ten finish, either. Tyler Hynes’s I’ll Be Seeing You drew 1.28 million viewers and tied for 17th. That’s a respectable audience, but perhaps not the placement fans expecting him near the top would have guessed.

Do Not Expect This Leaderboard to Stay Put

These are premiere-night television totals, not combined audiences from later airings or Hallmark+ streaming. One separate claim says Missing the Boat drew about 2.7 million viewers in its initial broadcast, a figure that differs substantially from the chart’s 1.488 million and likely reflects a different way of counting. The figures shouldn’t be treated as interchangeable.

The bigger test is just ahead. Countdown to Christmas begins October 16, and Hallmark holiday premieres topped this year’s current high mark over Thanksgiving weekend in 2025. The More the Merrier drew 1.77 million viewers, while A Grand Ole Opry Christmas reached 1.74 million. Both would outrank every 2026 premiere listed here.

One upcoming title to watch is Lacey Chabert’s Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, scheduled for November 28. For now, though, Romance at Hope Ranch owns the crown. Whether it can keep it through the holiday rush is the question that makes this ranking worth revisiting.
